VANCOUVER – It is often one of the most important days in any couple’s lives and one that cannot be recreated.

But two local couples are now facing the possibility they may never see the photos from their big day after their photographer’s laptop was stolen.

Vancouver photographer Jourdan Tymkow shot one wedding about two weeks ago and was shooting another wedding this past Sunday at the Burnaby Lake Rowing Pavilion.

There were about 2,000 photos on her old MacBook that were not backed up.

When she came out to her car after shooting the wedding on Sunday, her backpack with the laptop inside, was gone.

Tymkow said because the first wedding was in such a remote location she was not able to back up the photos right away. She said she usually uses Google Drive to make sure more than one copy exists.

However, she had to tell two couples all of their photos were missing.

“Normally it wouldn’t be a big deal but on my laptop was all of my wedding photos and those are the only files, they’re not backed up anywhere,” she told Global News.

“It’s a worthless laptop, it’s worth like $200.”

Caitlin and her husband Jim are one of the couples who have lost their wedding photos.

They were married in Lillooet two weeks ago.

“We still had a great day and we had great memories, but if we were able to see those photos, even just once, it would really mean a lot to us,” said Caitlin.

“It’s all about getting those photos back.”

If anyone finds an older black Herschel backpack, with some exercise clothing and a white 2005 MacBook inside, they can contact Jourdan by phone at 778-251-8445 or email [email protected]杭州龙凤.

She is offering a $500 reward for the return of the photos and anyone with information can also contact the Burnaby RCMP at 604-294-7922.
